Hmm 75£ a DR for the night, that's your lowest tariff and it's kinda high.
Sorry for the hassle, but can you not find a place which offers a group tarrif and larger rooms?
I would be much obliged + it sucks if we are scattered in various places.

Thought I had made a reply to this but obviously it didnt save, Im at work atm so havent got time to say it all again...lol
Basically, The prices nemron has got are for individuals, we will all saty at the same place, so I will be ringing up the hotels etc to find out details for group bookings etc cos I know for definate that Premier offer a discount for over 10ppl.
will post more when I have time

Guest houses usually have no more than 2 or 3 rooms kat. They are people who lend rooms in their house, and who lock up the door at midnight and get pissed off if you sing while drunk, so not ideal.

Actually thats GROUP rates Sam. And its already filling up at these hotels for October. If you want CHEAP then ur best bet will backpacking hostels, but you WILL be roughing it. Otherwise this is cheapest hotels, with breakfast that in central Edinburgh.

If people are willing to split up and not all stay in same place then B&B will of course be cheaper for you.

Hey Guys, I fully understand about finding somewhere cheap to stay because ofcourse that means more money for drinks!!!!!
I have been doing some more research into this and have found a solution to all the questions...
How does a 5star Hostel sound, I have been speaking to a lady there and it sounds very nice, bedding and towels provided (Priwka will be happy!!) Scottish Breakfast provided and a bar open til late.
Its called Smartcity Hostel, the prices are as follows:
Rooms for 8 people will cost £26 per person per night including breakfast, so £78 in total each
Rooms for 12 people will cost the same for above
Rooms for 8 & 12 have 2 ensuite bathrooms, so could have male n female sharing, it all depends on your preference.
Rooms for 2 are ofcourse more expensive and cost £44.50 per person per night including breakfast, so £133.50 in total each
Rooms for 4 are £33 per person per night including breakfast, so £99 in total
This sounds a very good option in my opinion.
I would need to book in the next 4-6 weeks realistically as there may well be up to 30ppl, so People need to be organised and let me know a definate Yes or No.
When I book I need to pay a 10% deposit and full payment needs to be made the 2nd week of September, money will have to be sent to me and I need to pay as one booking, this can be sorted nearer the time.
Hopefully this will satisfy everyone..
What I need now is a new post made purely for definate YES people so ppl arent missed out in long spammed threads.

HOSTEL LOCATION
Smartcity Hostel is central and, as I said to Sam, certainly the best of the hostels on offer I think. Will be a lot more friendly on peoples pockets - which allows more cash for drinking and eating out.
